Tribute To Rosie O'Donnell

I could not build a web page about "Lite" living without highlighting one who exemplifies the true meaning of living "Lite". If there were but one individual in this world I would most like to emulate, it would have to be Rosie O'Donnell. Her committment to helping others, her desire to make the world a better place, and her dedication to keeping children safe, astound me. You can turn on the television any time day or night, and see some celebrity,on some show, professing their commitment to one charity or another, but seldom to you find a star, who backs up their words with so many un-selfish acts of kindness.

This page is my meager attempt to salute one of today's heros. If only we all had a little more "Rosie" in us, I believe we would see less anger and violence in our world. If we could teach our children to value and charish others as Rosie has shown so many times, each of us could truly enjoy the "Lite Life".

Born March 21, 1962 in Commack, Long Island, New York, Rosie is the mother of Parker Jaren born May 25, 1995, and Chelsea Belle born September 20, 1997.

Rosie's father's name is Edward O'Donnell. Her mother, Roseann Martha O'Donnel died March 17, 1972. Rosie is one of 5 children,and her siblings names are Eddie, Danny, Maureen, and Timmy. Rosie's nickname is Dolly. She was given this nickname because her younger brother could not say her name.

Rosie attended Commack High School where she was Senior Class President, Homecoming Queen, and Class Clown. She attended Dickinson College for one year and then transfered to Boston University where she studied theater, but dropped out at age 18.

Yes, like all of us, Rosie is trying to eat healthy. Although, she admits that it has been a struggle, Rosie has motivated so many others, that there are CHUB CLUBS all over the United States.
